Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Rohtak is a sikh shrine situated at Mata Darwaja Chowk, Rohtak. This gurudwara is related to the ninth Guru of Sikhs- Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji. In Rohtak, Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib ji stayed for 3 days. He stayed at a pond side and tied his horse to one of the trees there. Guru Ji also had a well dug there, which has now been covered. The people here, who, at that time were lying totally hopeless, got the message of Truth from Guru ji and Guru ji told them to pray and meditate on God. From Anandpur, he came down to Kiratpur. After visiting, Ropar, Nanhera etc. he proceeded towards south and then reached Saifabad, from Saifabad to Samana and then he went to Kaithal and Jind. Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji

Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib was born on Vaisakh Vadi 5, (5 Vaisakh), Bikrami Samvat 1678, (1st April, 1621) in the holy city of Amritsar in a house known as Guru ke Mahal. He had four brothers Baba Gurditta Ji, Baba Suraj Mal Ji, Baba Ani Rai Ji, Baba Atal Rai Ji and one sister Bibi Veero Ji. He was the fifth and the youngest son of Guru Hargobind Sahib and Mata Nanki Ji. His childhood name was Tyag Mal. The Sikhs began to call him Teg Bahadur after the battle of Kartarpur against Painda Khan in which he proved to be great sword-player or gladiator.
